Using 5-Star Cold Wax Solution:

Cold Wax Solution is a wax product that can be used as a resist for watercolours, inks and dyes. Cold Wax is water soluble, ready to use and has no fumes. Successive colour layers can be applied using the batik method. Cold Wax is suitable for use on paper, clay, screens and fabric.

Five Star Cold Wax Solution

Five Star Liquid Dye

Five Star 5008 Flat Brushes Sizes 6, 8

Five Star Paint Tray

Cartridge Paper

Newspaper

Method:

Step 1:

Draw or trace the panda onto cartridge paper.

Paint Cold Wax onto the white areas of the panda.

Step 2:

Paint Cold Wax onto the white areas of the panda. Step 3:

Once dry, paint over the entire painting with black Liquid Dye. Do not worry about getting black over white, as it will resist against the Cold Wax.

Finally, sign your work like a true professional.

TIP: Black areas: alternatively, you can use Five Star Indian Ink, Five Star Water Soluble Dye or Flint Mecca Indian Ink
