Acrylic pouring painting uses fluid acrylics to pour onto a canvas (or other surfaces) to create unique abstract effects.
A great learning project for colour combinations and the effects of mediums when adding to paint. The oily effects of the silicon spray create cells within the colours.

You will need
Five Star Silicone Spray
Five Containers (paper cups)
Five Stirring Sticks
Canvas Panel
Let's create
Step 1.
Lay plenty of newspaper out, as this is messy (but fun)
Project. Place your canvas panel onto the newspaper. It is helpful to elevate it to make it easier to pick up when required.
Step 2.
Pour an amount of each of the 5 Star NZACRYL Acrylic colours into a separate container for each colour.
Step 3.
Pour an equal amount of PVA glue into each of the colours and stir.
The colours need to be pourable (add a small amount of water if required.)
Step 4
Take the silicon spray and put a "squirt" into each of the colours and give a quick stir.
Step 5.
Use the last container to pour some of each colour into this container - do not stir. Be careful not to use too much black, as this will dominate the colour.
Step 6.
Place the canvas panel over top of the container and flip it over quickly and let the liquid colours pour onto the panel. Lift the panel and tilt it to cover the entire surface with the colour. Use your finger with the excess paint to cover the edges. You will immediately see cells form in the colours due to the silicon spray resisting.
Step 7
Put aside to dry.

This method gives an awesome effect. Many variations can be achieved - you just need to experiment.
Tip: For a glossy finish, coat with Five Star gloss medium
